This group of people are some of the most resilient and deeply, deeply feeling yet emotionally guarded people you will ever meet.

Saturn first entered Scorpio in late November 1982 while Pluto was still in Libra. Pluto entered Scorpio in early November 1983, but then retrograded back into Libra in mid May 1984, to finally enter Scorpio for good in late August 1984.

This created a generational overlap period for folks born between Aug ’83 & Aug ’84. For the purposes of length + the fact that I’m focusing on the Saturn signs that fall under Pluto in Scorpio, I won’t speak much on the overlap, but this is just to note that there are folks with Pluto in Libra & Saturn in Scorpio, & that generational overlaps are a thing. I need more time to research them & to do more readings with folks who were born during these periods. So, this post focuses on folks born between Nov 1983 and Nov 1985.

OK, back to Saturn in Scorpio. Saturn sub-generations denote a particular purpose, or responsibility that a collective of folks incarnate under. I’ll be speaking on the archetypal meanings, not anything specific.

Saturn in Scorpio natives were born with a responsibility for understanding and processing loss, death, decay, and regeneration. These folks hold within themselves decades of compressed (not necessarily repressed) emotions. Their Saturn returns challenged them in many ways to confront the ways they process through emotional states, often by presenting seemingly impossible obstacles to overcome.

I feel an heavy weight in my body when I think about what this sub-generation has gone through, not because it’s necessarily more than what others have moved through, but because the way they hold onto feelings, the way they store memories in their bodies, because it is so, so difficult to process & compost that shit, and most were never taught how to do so in a healthy way growing up. They did a lot of work on that during their first Saturn returns.

It’s worth it to note that while both Saturn & Pluto were in Scorpio during this time, the South Node dipped into Scorpio in Sept 1984, so there’s a full year of folks born between Sept ’84 & Nov ’85 who also had that influence. Eclipses occurring on Saturn & Pluto, facilitating the need to release and purge the emotional structures of their lives.

I see a lot of these folks nowadays as deeply humble leaders, generous space holders, and those who have shared a lot of the emotional healing techniques they’ve learned to help people process their own shit. The resilience of this group is astounding, and while they aren’t the loudest, they must be listened to and respected for their contributions, especially to the spiritual, wellness, and mental health world most of us are a part of nowadays. These are the folks that understand and promote the usefulness of some of your favorite niche healing processes. I am grateful and humbled whenever I have the opportunity to read for one of these folks, for it is a privilege to be welcomed into any sort of intimate setting with them.
